I was the main artist responsible for Demon’s Souls character creator. I developed a pipeline that used 12 unique head scans (6 male – 6 female) that are non-destructive and work seamlessly between male and female body types.
This system became the starting point for our artists to create a lot of the heads in Demon's Souls. The artist could generate a head as a starting point and make unique adjustments from there. All heads use the same set of FACS blendshapes provided by Sony's VASG.
